Mindful Massage and Bodywork Treatments

My primary tools are Intuition and Empathy

Therapeutic touch is the art of listening with the hands and seeing with the heart.

Our tissues hold the history of bearing human weight, a record both unique to us and universal, an account of toil, and trauma, and loss… a twisted plot to be unwound, translated, and resolved.

My massage table is a stage where the drama can finally unfold; a gathering of companions ‘round the hearth where the burden of remembering, in being shared, can be put down.

“As one becomes more acutely sensitive and receptive, the ability to hear and respond to the language of the body becomes available ”

— Michael Sitzer, LMBT and world renowned Thai Yoga Bodywork Instructor

Michael’s teachings emphasize the Buddhist tenets Vipassana (moment to moment awareness) and Metta (loving kindness). To learn more about my teacher and Thai Yoga Bodywork trainings, visit Michael's website

My massage style is a table based hybrid of Thai Yoga and other Deep Tissue approaches, with utmost attention and consideration to client comfort and care.

Thai Yoga Bodywork combines gentle movement and passive range of motion with compression and traction in rhythmic, rocking waves that stimulate and soothe the parasympathetic nervous system while restoring and lengthening the soft tissue.

Traditionally practiced on the floor, without lubricants, Thai Massage is most often performed through loose-fitting or stretchy clothing. Thai Bodywork techniques also adapt to a massage table and combine well with other modalities, such as the more common Swedish Massage.

Your Treatment, Your Choice

At the end of the day, the goal is to create the conditions in which you feel most comfortable, safe, and relaxed, and apply the techniques that best promote your wellbeing.
